Depending on the equipment and function, the Basicline series comprises five thermostat types. Roth offers the Basicline H room thermostat for temperature control of radiant heating systems, Basicline H/C 230 V and Basicline H/C 24 V for fully automatic temperature control in heating and cooling mode. For public buildings, the Roth Basicline H, i is available with internal, concealed temperature adjustment. Depending on the operating mode selected, the LED display of the room thermostats lights up red in heating mode and blue for Basicline H/C in cooling mode.
In addition, there is the digital Basicline T clock thermostat with integrated weekly timer. With the clock thermostat, the desired temperature profile can be individually adapted to the respective usage behavior throughout the day. This guarantees maximum comfort with maximum energy savings. Depending on the model, high-quality plug-in or screw terminals facilitate the electrical connection of the room thermostats.
The smooth and flat shape of the high-quality plastic housing is timeless in design and promises easy cleaning. The LED display shines in heating or cooling mode, each in red or blue, discreetly through the high-gloss housing and sets beautiful accents in living spaces. The rotary knob embedded in the housing ensures easy operation. Depending on the model, high-quality plug-in or screw terminals facilitate the electrical connection of the room thermostats.
The wired, electronic room thermostat Basicline H is used for the standard function "H" like heating and offers the following advantages:
> simplest operation
> integrated red LED display
> setback input for energy saving
> completely noiseless
> simple connection due to high-quality plug-in terminals
The Basicline H/E room thermostat is comparable to Basicline H. It has two additional connection terminals, especially for the external temperature sensor. It is available in the variants 24 V or 230 V.
The Basicline H.A room thermostat is comparable to Basicline H. The modified analog temperature scale without numbers or Celsius indications supports the particularly simple and intuitive operation. It is available as a 230 V variant.
The Roth individual room controls are specially adapted to the respective requirements (heating mode, heating and cooling mode) and are characterised by simple operation. The radio control system is suitable for new buildings and especially for renovations due to the reduced wiring effort.
The Basicline H, i room thermostat differs from the Basicline H in that it has an internal, concealed temperature setting. It is ideal for use in public buildings. It is available in the variants 24 V or 230 V.
The Basicline T digital clock thermostat for the heating mode has an integrated weekly timer, a large illuminated two-line display and five modern sensor keys. It is suitable for pilot control in connection with all 230 V Basicline room thermostats. The optional temperature sensor can be used to monitor and control the floor surface temperature.
The large selection of operating modes has many possibilities: Automatic, comfort, setback mode, frost protection temperature as well as a party and vacation function.
> large modern display
> wear-free sensor keys
> high-quality, very flat housing
> easy-to-clean surface throughout
> freely programmable temperature profile
> lowering output
> key lock for authority function
> optimal energy saving
The Basicline H/C 230 V room thermostat is suitable for temperature control in heating and cooling mode. Switching between heating and cooling mode is fully automatic for all Basicline H/C thermostats, by means of a centrally specified switching signal, for example by a heat pump. This makes operation very simple and convenient for the user. As an option, the Roth floor and wall temperature sensor can also be connected to the thermostat. The user can identify the current operating mode on each room thermostat via the red or blue LED display.
> simple operation
> integrated red/blue LED display
> setback input for energy saving
> completely silent
> optional cooling block
The Basicline H/C 24 V room thermostat is comparable to the Basicline H/C 230 V room thermostat. In contrast to the previous device variant, it has a connection for the Roth dew point sensor RFTP 1, which detects when the dew point is undershot and then interrupts cooling. During a dew point undershoot, the thermostat flashes blue. The application range of the 24 V model extends from radiant heating/cooling to ceiling heating/cooling with room-by-room temperature and dew point monitoring.
Control technology
The Roth Basicline connection modules enable a clear and secure connection between room thermostats and actuators. The high-quality compact housing can be quickly and easily mounted on standardised top-hat rails or directly on the rear wall of the distribution cabinet. Plug-in terminals, an integrated microfuse and standard-compliant strain reliefs ensure fast and secure connections. The Roth Basicline connection modules are optimally matched to all thermostats in the Basicline series.
Connection unit for safe and orderly connection of 6 to 10 Roth Basicline H 230 V or Basicline T room thermostats and a maximum of 18 Roth actuators. With a pump output for demand-based pump control and a setback input for forwarding the setback signal when a clock thermostat is connected.
Flexible assignment via high-quality rotary switches
The new Basicline AM-8 flex connection module enables simple and flexible assignment of the actuators to the respective room thermostat via high-quality rotary switches. It is suitable for use with up to 8 Roth room thermostats, including heating/cooling, and a maximum of 12 Roth 230 V actuators. The technology sits in a high-quality housing with a transparent cover and strain relief. Furthermore, the model has LED indicators for power, the pump output and the individual rooms.
Roth AM-8 flex connection module -
ideal complement to the Roth FlatConnect home station
The Roth AM-8 flex connection module is an ideal addition in combination with the preassembled Roth FlatConnect home stations. Just as the home station is pre-assembled at the factory in accordance with the project-specific requirements, the AM-8 flex connection module can be used to pre-wire the electrical actuators for the individual room control of the Roth panel heating systems at the factory. This reduces the installation work on site to a minimum. All that is required to complete the functioning individual room control on site is to connect the electrical connection cables of the Roth room thermostats to the connection terminals, and to assign actuators and the associated room thermostat on a room-by-room basis using a rotary switch.

The Basicline AM-10 heating/cooling connection modules offer the highest range of functions and are suitable for connecting up to 10 Roth Basicline room thermostats, including heating/cooling, and a maximum of 18 actuators. Furthermore, the models feature LED indicators, an optional heating and cooling changeover input for Roth heat pumps and an input for the Roth humidity sensor with guard function. They also include an intelligent pump output with pump protection function, fixed valve protection and a setback input for forwarding a setback signal.
