Youngsters give "20 out of 5" - Children from Dautphetal holiday camp lend a hand at Roth in Buchenau

Watch, learn and get involved:  As part of the holiday play programme organised by the municipality of Dautphetal, ten children aged between eight and twelve visited the Roth company in Buchenau. The company has been participating in the programme since 2018 and once again opened its factory halls to the young guests this year.

HR officer Jennifer Happel welcomed the children in the Manfred Roth Atrium and gave an overview of the family business before the young guests put on blue high-visibility vests and set off on a tour of the production areas. Afterwards, they were allowed to try their hand at the recently modernised training workshop – together with the company's apprentices and specialist trainers. The holiday play children created lasting memories to take home with them: befor ly assembling their own grandfather clock, the boys and girls first had to work on the individual components themselves and design the clock face according to their own ideas.

It wasn't just the practical work that caused excitement: at the end of the day, everyone was treated to ice cream in the canteen. When asked how many out of five stars they would give the day, the children quickly agreed: "20 out of 5!" Jennifer Happel then immediately extended the next invitation: “We look forward to seeing you again – for example, at the next Girls' Day or a school internship.” The children also enjoyed the day. "It was really cool," enthused eleven-year-old Lina, "the trainees who helped with the crafts were really nice – and the canteen is so nice and big."
