Note on the tightness of glass showers
The splash water tightness is decisively determined by the construction and design of the shower enclosures. Roth shower enclosures meet all the requirements of DIN EN 14428. Shower enclosures with profiles are more watertight due to their design. In addition to the design, it is also ideal to choose the shower according to personal showering habits.
Frameless models do not provide absolute tightness. The splash protection can be considerably increased by the lifting/lowering mechanism of the doors and the use of transparent seals.
Partially framed models can also optimally influence the escape of splash water through the lifting/lowering mechanism of the doors and the use of transparent seals or water-repellent profiles.
Circumferential framed models offer perfect splash protection. The floor profile ensures that the splash water that bounces off and accumulates on the edge of the bathtub is safely held back and returned.
